Mechanical alloying and mechanochemistry have evolved as a frontier area of basic science and various applications during the last two or three decades. The developments are unfolding at a rapid rate in terms of basic science and various applications such as metal extraction, alloying, composites, catalysis, energy-related materials, etc. The special session of mechanical alloying and mechanochemistry aims to provide a forum for presentation of new results, current research & development trends and future directions in the field of mechanical alloying and mechanosynthesis.
